A Blast from the Past


We all enjoy the new music that seems to come out every week, but do you ever take the time to revisit some of the hits from past. Over the years there have been many hits and anthems that we sometimes forget about them. They’ve ranged from hip hop and rap, to R&B to pop and much more. It’s good to take a walk down memory lane every now and then and listen to a few of the old songs that made you feel something. With that being said, here are a couple of some of my throwback hits.
1)      Find Your Love - Drake
-        Aubrey Graham better known as Drake is a Canadian rapper, singer, actor, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur. Drake gained is rise to fame through acting on a teenage drama series, Degrassi: The Next Generation. “Find Your Love” is single from his debut album Thank Me Later that was released May 5th 2010. This track is the thirteenth song on the album, and produced by Kanye West. This song talks about what Drake would consider one of his worst character traits, looking and choosing the wrong woman for him to love.  
2)      Heartless - Kanye West
-        Kanye West is American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, and fashion designer. This Atlanta native, has changed his sound various time throughout his career creating music that has been influenced many genres from pop to soul to electronic even to gospel. The song “Heartless” is a single from Kanye’s 808s and Heartbreak album, and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 back in 2008. This song did so well that it went 6x platinum becoming one his best-selling singles. “Heartless” is a story of a man who lost himself to a woman who did not care about him as much as he cared about her and the relationship doesn’t end well for either of them.
3)      Let me Love Me - Mario
-        Mario is American singer, songwriter, actor and model. At 18, Mario was topping that charts with his single “Love Me Love You” that was a part of his album Turning Point released in November of 2004.This song did so well that it was topped the Billboard charts for nine weeks straight, which lead Mario to win a Billboard Music Award. This song is about a man who sees a girl who is not being treated in the right way. Mario is telling her to let him love her because he can treat her better that she has been treated before because she deserves it.    
4)      No One - Alicia Keys
-        Alicia Keys is an American singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, actress, and philanthropist as well as a fifteen-time Grammy Award winning artist. She is known for her singles including “Fallin’”, “No One”, “If I Ain’t Got You”, “Girl on Fire” and so much more. The track “No One” is off her studio album As I Am that was released in 2007. This song speaks on the feeling that no matter what happens in your life, the person you love 
will always be there for you.
5)      Cry Me a River - Justin Timberlake
-        Justin Timberlake is an American singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, and record producer. This Tennessee native got his start in the entertainment world through being a part of The Mickey Mouse Club when he was younger, later going off to be a part of the world renowned boy band, NSYNC, as a lead vocalist. As some time went on he decided to venture out to be a solo artist. “Cry Me a River” was one of Justin’s singles from his debut studio album, Justified that was released in 2002. This track was inspired by his then relationship with the popstar Britney Spears.

Khalid has released his second studio album titled Free Spirit on April 5 th of this year. A Little Billie and More

Billie Eilish has become a seventeen year old superstar. She finally released her first studio album titled When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? March 29 th of this year. This album made it to number one on the US Billboard 200 and topped the charts in various other countries such as Canada, Australia, Scotland, and many more. When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? comprises of fourteen tracks including an intro called “!!!!!!!!”, “ Bad Guy”, “Xanny”, “You Should See me in a Crown”, “All the Good Girls Go to Hell”, “ Wish You Were Gay”, “When the Party’s Over”, “8”, “My Strange Addiction”, “Bury a Friend”, “llomilo” Listen Before I Go”, “I Love You”, and “Goodbye”. Like with all of her songs, her brother Finneas produced all of her album. New Arrival ?!

Ariana Grande has been teasing her supporters for over a month with new music as they wait for the arrival of her new album. Well, they have to wait no more. Ariana Grande recently dropped her new album on February 8th called Thank U, Next. The album consists of twelve tracks including imagine, needy, NASA, bloodline, fake smile, bad idea, make up, ghostin, in my head, 7 rings, thank u, next and break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored. This release gains much attention because she had previously released an album called Sweetener just six months prior. However, this released compared to her last seemed to be bigger. On the day that Ariana dropped her album, she also dropped her video for the song break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored. She even had radio stations playing the entirety of her album as she explained the back song of them. Although I thoroughly enjoyed her album this week I also have my top five songs that have been on repeat on my playlist at the moment. ...
